New Orchard

History / Relevant Information:

The estate was built in 1981-1982 approx. There are 49 houses in the estate. There was a group formed in 1983 to look after the cleaning of the estate which disbanded in 1997 approx. The
new group that has started with Rapid a committee of 4 persons. Chairperson, assistant Chairperson, secretary, treasurer and other helpers. The area had about 400 houses. That has changed in the last few years. The amount of houses now is approximately 1600 and more
to come.

Relevant Projects

Bins Project. Arts competition for children. Pictures to be transferred onto bins to make them more attractive for everyone.
Entrance to estate, widening of road, zebra crossing, safety ramps and nameplate of the estate.
Play area for children, skateboard area established
Clubhouse for teenagers.
