VISION STATEMENT

Newpark Close Family Resource Centre is about the community. Our aim is to provide a quality service
In a positive healthy and safe environment through the involvement of the local community by encouraging them to participate in the decision making process that effects their lives.

In our work we believe in:

Equality
Inclusion
Participation
Empowerment
Openness and Accountability
Respect and trust
Working collectively and in solidarity.

2002 marked the 25th anniversary of community participation in Newpark Close. In February 1977
Newpark Close Community Pre-school was established when a number of interested parents, facilitated by three employees with Kilkenny Social Services, came together to identify their needs. From this the Community pre-school emerged. We are now working on the expansion of the current building. It is envisaged that this will allow for a purpose built childcare facility, a youth room, after school service and a community café.

Activities include:
After School Retention Programme
Community Pre-school
Community Computer Room
Women's Group
Men's Group
Young women's group
Youth clubs
