Revitalising Areas by Planning, Investment and Development

Are you living in one of the identified RAPID communities in the City ?
Do you have a community project ?
Are you in the process of applying for funding ?

If so your project should be endorsed by the Kilkenny AIT ( Area Implementation Team ) for prioritisation.

The identified RAPID areas include New Orchard ,Millennium Court ,Ossory Park,O'Louglin Court McCauley, De la Salle Place,The Butts, Pococke Valley, Loughboy , Hebron Park , Newpark close
The Butts ,St Marys Avenue / St Catherines ,Newpark Lower, Bishop Birch Place.

Note if you are from the Pococke, McCauley Place, area and interested in sitting on a residents committee please contact Ronan Ryan in the County Hall.

New investment for RAPID areas in Kilkenny.

A number of announcements have been made recently with reference to monies secured for RAPID areas in Kilkenny including €105,000 for Scanlon Park, €44,000 for estate enhancement works, €60,000 towards the cost of a city playground in Garringreen, €80,000 for capital projects ( South Eastern Health Board ) A number of other projects are awaiting approval including monies set aside, under the Equality for Womens Measure €7million Nationally ( RAPID Strand ), Monies for RAPID areas announced under the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme and the Dormant Accounts.

Details with reference to monies received under the estate enhancement programme , Health Board, Scanlon Park, and others are presently being posted on the Rapid Kilkenny website ( www.rapidkilkenny.ie )
